General description of the collection: The Wilma A. Putt papers contain personnel and official documents, pay allotments, leave requests, oversea and promotion dates, citation records and immunization records. The documents were stored in a records jacket envelope. There are lists of dates, such as when she was promoted, her overseas service, leave and medical records. Another list is of equipment received and returned. Special Orders (SO) documenting her transfers, promotions and discharge are included. All of these documents span Putt's entire time of service.

First Lieutenant (1LT) Wilma A. Putt enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps (ANC) 7 September 1943. She was assigned to the 1964th Service Command Unit, Army Service Forces (ASF), from her enlistment until 21 December 1943 when she was transferred to the 203rd General Hospital and sent to Europe. Putt was reassigned to 24th Hospital Train 10 November 1944, and then to 217th General Hospital from 10 March to 7 April 1945.
